Volunteer
We are honored when men and women choose to volunteer at St. Gerard’s Center for Life. We make a significant impact in the Hartford community because of the dedication and work of every volunteer.
If you have the desire to save lives and encourage men and women in their life-affirming choices, there is a place for you at St. Gerard’s Center for Life. Training is always provided, and volunteer hours are flexible. Additionally, we offer free, secure parking on our open lot.
The following are a few of our volunteer opportunities:
- Client Advisor
- Mentoring
- Fundraising assistance
- Phone consultations
- Parenting class instructor
- Birth prep class instructor
- Building maintenance
- Organization of our Mom and Baby Boutique or the Diaper Depot
- Prayer support
If you would like to volunteer for one of the above positions or have experience in other areas we might consider, please fill out our volunteer application.
Attend Our Events
From Baby Bottle Drives to Annual Banquets, there is an event for everyone to participate in. When you attend an event or participate in a fundraiser, you are helping us raise the majority of our operating funds.
We encourage you to sign up, sponsor a table, invite your friends and family, and make a donation. All is gratefully appreciated.
Spread the Word
There are more than 2,700 pregnancy resource centers in the U.S., but few women are aware of their existence. Why? Often, budgets do not allow us to market our services effectively. We rely on word-of-mouth advertising.
When you share our life-affirming work with your friends, family, and co-workers, they often want to become involved.
Partner with Us
Individuals, businesses, and churches provide the majority of our annual budget. When you partner with us financially, we can provide the hope and compassion that women and families need to choose life.
Through your gifts, we can offer free and confidential education, pregnancy services, spiritual and emotional guidance, and material support. Will you consider making a gift today?
